What Makes us Different
If you are reading this then you are in some way involved with one of the most complex non linear patterns of all: The process of exerting influence, shaping opinion and managing reputation through PR or Strategic Communications. Whether a Chief Executive charged with protecting reputation, a Head of Public Affairs involved in a procurement bid, or a Director of Communications managing a sensitive issue, how your target audiences form their opinions and make their choices comes via a series of complex interactions. Complex but part of a pattern nonetheless. By anticipating and understanding the moves others make we can advise you on the right course of action.Developed from ‘chaos’ and ‘complexity’ theories, Tetra Strategy has devised a model which gives us and our clients the insight to see and master the complex patterns which determine communications outcomes. We seek to help our clients achieve order even when chaos ‘appears’ to be all around by understanding and utilising three core principles derived from these theories: Interconnectivity, Initial Conditions, and Dynamic Feedback. Chaos and order, or complexity and simplicity, are very close relatives. Applying these principles to any communications plan or campaign will bring a successful outcome.

What we do and Who we are
We advise some of the world’s leading companies, entities and individuals on managing their reputations and achieving their Strategic Communications goals.Tetra Strategy was formed in 2007 by its founding partners James O’Keefe and Lee Petar. Having both enjoyed successful careers in public affairs and political communications they decided to form their own agency where they would be able to have a more direct impact on client needs. Since then, Tetra Strategy has brought together one of the most talented teams of consultants and campaign managers in the profession. With carefully selected partnerships with a limited number of other leading PR experts from other disciplines, Tetra Strategy can handle almost any strategic communications brief.

Where does the name Tetra Strategy come from
Tetra Strategy takes its name from the similarly entitled series of four books by the Greek philosopher Ptolemy – the Tetrabiblos. Ptolemy was concerned with astrological connections: That by following the movement of the planets it was possible to anticipate the movement (or actions) of people, revealing that there are universal patterns that connect and underpin everything – from the very big (the macrocosm) to the very small (the microcosm). In doing so Ptolemy reinforced an even more ancient belief (for example as represented in Chinese symbol for Yin and Yang) that there is visible Order amidst what is seemingly Chaos. Much later the same fundamental appreciation formed the basis and development of Chaos theory. As Strategic Communications experts we know that these patterns don’t just apply to physical systems but also to social systems, including the system of ‘influence and opinion’. We also just liked the name and the logo. Visit our blog and tell us what you think. The Fern Logo is a physical representation of the self-repeating patterns that occur throughout our environment and which provide visual proof that Order really does appear within Chaos.
