I was a little struck today at how the three leaders looked as they made their first campaign pitches. Cameron looked a little anxious-angry, or perhaps it was more effervescent-energetic for his one-man show opener.  Brown looked and sounded relaxed outside Downing Street for his team photocall. And Clegg looked, well, like a serious politician, no doubt helped along by having Prince Vince alongside.  So with such a slow first day the clear winner was the Queen who stole the show with her chopper ride into town.
