During the 2010 General Election Catherine assisted the Labour team in the Midlands, working with Ian Austin MP, former Minister and PPS to Gordon Brown, on his campaign for re-election in Dudley North.
Catherine has a legal background with an honours degree in law from Liverpool University and a Diploma in Legal Practice from Nottingham Law School. Switching to a career in public affairs from Macmillan Cancer Support where she worked in the Secretariat alongside the Company Secretary and the Legal Team, Catherine now works on a diverse range of clients including AMEC, SAP, Smarta and Welsh Water.
Catherine also provides the Secretariat role for the All Party Parliamentary Strategic Industries Group. Catherine previously worked at law firms DMH and Wynne Baxter, and at the Royal College of General Practitioners. Catherine has a passionate interest in fashion and design, and enjoys seeking out unique vintage items and visiting London's many design exhibitions.
